Another new lake this year for Midport in at Issak Walton – Middle Pool. Very much seems to be a work in progress on this lake, with a few pegs having no staging an unmatured island.
Disappointed that the management asked us to leave some pegs for day tickets so we didn’t draw the whole lake, to find when we got to the venue the best well spaced pegs were the ones we were asked not to use, and we were cramped up on “non” pegs. But in true style we just cracked on and did the best we could.
Complete different day of fishing than the previous visit to IW, but at least everyone caught fish.
Golden peg was peg 17 drawn Rod Hill, with one of his worst matches to date, we think the pressure got to him…
1st – Scott Harding (56lb 11Oz)
2nd – Mark Walton (56lb 4Oz)
3rd – Simon Nadin (45lb 9Oz)
Next match is 17th Oct at Moss Farm, on Maddies for our final league match of the season.
