Match 5 – Weston Pools – Stretton – 29th June 2022 – 20 fished

Last minute change of lake on this match. We had to switch from middle pool to bottom pool due to us having a great turn out of 20 anglers and middle pool being over worked with those numbers.

Terrible pegging demanded Simon and Mark walking around and re-pegging the lake to ensure space and fishable pegs. After a brisk walk around and re-peg breakfast was on order. Unfortunately it did take a long time for breakfast to arrive, and by the time we ate, we had 30mins to setup and be ready with us starting this match at 9.30am due to the distance.

Those who drew an island chuck, seemed to have all come out on top and giving the bigger weights.

Well done to Gary Cotton, putting up a big fight and dragging in a 19lb 6oz carp, a new league record and a very lovely fish to boot.

GP was drawn for Jamie our newest member this year. Unfortunately he didn’t manage any sort of contending weight at this match.
