Match 8 – Cudmore – Moors – 5th September 2021 – 13 fished
Another new lake this year for Midport in at Cudmore – Moors. Nice little canal style lake simlar to the other lake we fished at this venue before.
As always started the morning off with a butty from the cafe and a warm welcome.
Unfortunately, fishing was slow most of the day. You could see the fish banging the reeds, topping everywhere, just not up for feeding from the hook. Personally I had an awful start with section 4 of my pole snapping 45mins into the match as a big carp pulled me into the reeds, this made for an eventful climb down the far back slope to retrieve what was left.
After this, I had no choice but to move to top 2+1 and fish bottom, which seemed to be the tactic for the day, and gave me a nice win.
Golden peg was peg 8 drawn Dan Pimlott, again but with a tough day all-round didn’t manage to take it…
1st – Simon Nadin (42lb 5Oz)
2nd – Rod Hill (30lb 2Oz)
3rd – Alan Nadin (27lb 6Oz)
Next match is 19th Sept at Issak Walton, on Middle Pool.
