Match 6 – Commonwood- Tryfin – 8th August 2021 – 12 fished

One of the furtherest and newest venues for Midport, with most of us being around 1hr 45mins away.  Unfortunately the cafe doesn’t open until 9am which made the morning a little later start and a quick breakfast on the way.

Weather gave rain allday and wasn’t far off with huge spurts of down pour but then very hot, so was a very good mixture.  With only 10 actually fishing and 2 of the lads not making for various reasons, meant that we were all in the points from the start.  A few stuggled, but venue expert (to us anyway) managed to find a sweet spot just in front of him, catching quickly and consistantly.

Some very angry fish, snapping rigs and pulling straight into the rough meant a few disappointments.

Golden peg was peg 21 drawn Rod Hill, unfortunately he just missed out with a 2nd place…

1st – Mark Walton (74lb 14Oz)
2nd –  Rod Hill (58lb 9Oz)
3rd – Andrew Reynolds (42lb 8Oz)

Next match is 22nd Aug at Issak Walton, on Top Lake.
