Match 3… well sort of match 5 but this was the match that had to be postponed due to Covid-19 stopping play.
A very warm day, with sun shining and no cover saw some very red skin at the end of a gruelling day. Most fishermen struggled with the odd fish or odd bite all day. The carp were topping, but just not feeding.
The lake was a little disappointing in terms of dead reeds covering a peg, trees over hanging from an island that was only a few meters from the main bank and line spooled up on snags. Such a shame really, with a little work on and off the water could be a lovely lake to fish.
Well done to those who did manage to catch and get on the score board.
Golden peg was peg 6 drawn for Steve O’Reilly, another curse of the golden (no not Rick) gives us another roll over.
1st – Simon Nadin (20lb 3Oz)
2nd – Scott Harding (17lb 13Oz)
3rd – Andrew Reynolds (6lb 10Oz)
Next match is 19th July at Brookside.
