Match 10 – Old Hough (Upper Benbo) – 19th November 2018 – 17 fished
Another great breakfast with 12 out of 17 of us showing up to get some warm food at the Turnpike…
With a draw slightly earlier that scheduled and a great venue with no need to take any pegs out, 17 of the pegs out of the 24 were drawn and fished.
With a cold start to the morning, the hope was that the weather would warm up, with the sun coming out and temperatures rising while we setup. General buzz was that we should start 15 mins early, and get an extra 15 mins of water time.
All in 9.45am.
With a very slow start and just small fish coming out the water, it looked to be a long 5hrs. However, 3 hours in the carp started to show and weights were creeping up.
With some great weights to end the match on a tough day.
2 catches worth mentioning:
Rob Wallis – this weeks winner with an 8lb Carp
Mark Walton – with a huge perch, that started at 3lb, then 5lb, then 7lb actually weighed just under 3lb
This being the final match for this season and a great turn out as always. Well done to all and we look forward to next season now.
